Research and Innovation Synergies in the Attica Region

Information sheet for submitting applications for financing investment projects in the Action

The new Program entitled "Research and Innovation Synergies in the Attica Region" was announced in the framework of the Operational Program "Attica 2014 - 2020" which aims to strengthen economic, social and spatial cohesion by reducing the main regional imbalances in the Union through support sustainable development and structural adjustment of regional economies, including the transformation of declining industrial regions and regions whose development is lagging behind.

Submission Period:

Start of Submissions: 13  November 2020

Closing of Submissions: 14  January  2020

Eligible program KAD

Beneficiaries of the Action:

Eligible beneficiaries to apply for funding under this Action are existing
companies and Research and dissemination organizations, operating legally at the date

issuance of this invitation in the Attica Region.

Investment Plans & Support

Investment plans 9,000,000 euros

Basic Conditions for Participation

Businesses should:   

  • To be active, as well as to carry out the corresponding expenses in the Attica Region.

  • To operate as legal entities, regardless of their type (eg SA, LTD, EU, OE, IKE, KoinSep) or as sole proprietorships.

  • To keep haplographic or diplographic books (former BD or DG category of KBS) based on the ELP.

  • Do not be in bankruptcy, liquidation or forced management.

  • Do not constitute firms in difficulty in accordance with the provisions of ANNEX III to this Invitation.

  • No recovery of aid is pending against them following a previous Commission decision declaring aid illegal and incompatible with the internal market.

  • Do not start work on the project or activity before applying for aid under this call.

  • Include in their investment plans expenditures that have not been financed and have not been included in another program financed by national or Community resources.

  • To commit that their investment plans have not been submitted for inclusion and if approved for financing they will not be submitted to another program funded by national or Community resources.

  • No fines have been imposed on the company which have acquired final and binding force, for violations of labor law and in particular for:
    - Violation of "high" or "very high" seriousness (3 fines / 3 checks)
    Undeclared work (2 fines / 2 checks), for the reasons of art. 39, par. 1, of Law 4488/2017.
