Information sheet for submitting applications for financing investment projects in the Action

Pre-publication of the "e-retail" Action aims to subsidize SME companies to create or upgrade an e-shop in order to support their operation during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), to enhance the degree of integration of digital technology and their digital transformation, to avoid overcrowding indoors and to ensure the continuity of their economic activity.

Submission Period:

Start: 22/02/2021 and time 13:00

Expires: 5/04/2021 at 15:00.

Beneficiaries of the Action:

Medium, small and very small companies operating in the retail sector, maintain a physical store and their operation has been suspended for at least one day from Wednesday, March 18, 2020 onwards.

Businesses are divided into:

• Existing, which have been established until 30/09/2019

• Newly formed, which have been established from 01/10/2019 onwards, until 07/11/2020.

Investment Plans & Support

This Action is funded with a total amount of 80 million € (Public Expenditure) for the entire Greek territory.
In case the requests of the companies that meet the eligibility criteria exceed the available IGC, the amount will increase until all the requests are met.
The Public Expenditure of the program is co-financed by the Greek State and the European Union and in particular by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The sub-categorization of the available Public Expenditure between Existing and Start-up companies will be defined in the Detailed Call for Action.

Subsidized Expenses


Each company (discrete VAT) will be awarded a total grant of up to the amount of 5,000.00 € for the acquisition of IT equipment and the implementation of intangible actions (Software / services) in order to develop / upgrade and manage an online store. The eligible costs of the Action are as follows:
1. Servers for hosting applications - software required for the creation / upgrade and operation of an online store, with its accompanying components (keyboards, screen, etc.) and the required operating system. Acquisition in the form of Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) is also allowed
2. Computers (Desktop / Laptop)
3. Other technological equipment related to the creation / upgrade and operation of an online store (eg Network equipment, Barcode readers, printers, etc.)
4. e-shop design, development / upgrade and e-shop management services (will operate in 2 languages, as well as in a mobile responsive or dedicated mobile version environment and will be accompanied by the following software: ordering, warehousing and electronic payments) Hosting (hosting, collocation, etc.)
5. Development and / or certification of digital security policy.
