Interest subsidy on existing SME loans affected by COVID-19
Information sheet for submitting applications for financing investment projects in the Action
The new Action "Interest subsidy for existing loans to small and medium-sized enterprises affected by the measures to deal with the COVID-19 virus pandemic" aims to support companies affected by the pandemic, in the form of covering the interest on their business loan obligations for a period of 3 months.
Submission Period:
Start of Submissions: 15 April 2020
Closing of Submissions: 30 June 2020

Beneficiaries of the Action:
Beneficiaries of the aid are Small and Medium Enterprises, regardless of
their legal form, operating legally in the country.
Enhancement
In this action the public funding amounts to 100%.
Basic Conditions for Participation
Businesses should:
To be active on 19/03/2020 in the eligible sectors of activity (KAD) mentioned in Annex V of this announcement.
To have the status of Small and Medium Enterprise.
Do not constitute problematic companies on 31/12/2019.
To commit that they will employ the same number of staff on 31/12/2020 that they employed on 19/03/2020.
Subsidized Expenses
Eligible costs are:
The contractual interest as well as the corresponding contribution of law 128/75 of the loans of the eligible companies, and in particular regular business loans, bond loans and Credit Agreements, including:
Securitized loans and credits (article 10 of law 3156/2003),
Loans and credits transferred due to sale. These loans must be up to date on 31/12/2019.
The loan agreements for which the company is selected for this action must have been concluded before 01/04/2020.
