Exchanges and mobility in sports
Description of the Call for Proposals
Deadline for applications: 26/7/2018 (12 pm Brussels time).
This call for proposals aims to implement the preparatory action entitled "Exchanges and mobility in sport", in accordance with Commission Decision C (2018) 1602/1 of 21 March 2018, approving the 2018 annual work program for the implementation of pilot projects and preparatory actions in the field of education, sports and culture.
The purpose of this preparatory action is to support the efforts of sports organizations by supporting the learning mobility of their staff. Exchanges of people, ideas and good practices can be beneficial for both the individuals and organizations to which they belong and for sport as a whole .
Learning mobility opportunities in this context could be addressed to the following people:
coaching and other "staff" of sports organizations (including volunteers) in the field of professional sports;
coaching and other "staff" of sports organizations (including volunteers) in the field of mass sports.
The energy seeks to have an impact in two important areas:
improving the knowledge and know-how of sports staff;
development of international cooperation in the field of learning mobility in sport.
The desired results include the following:
regular exchange system for sports staff;
creation of European networks of coaches and sports staff.
Beneficiaries
public or private bodies with legal personality, which are active in the field of sports and physical activity and organize sports and physical activities;
be based in one of the 28 EU Member States.

sports clubs
universities
educational institutions
businesses
Individuals are not eligible to apply for a grant under this call.
Implementation period
Activities can not start before January 1, 2019 or after March 31, 2019.
Activities must be completed by 31 December 2020.
The maximum duration of the projects is 6 months.
Applications for projects scheduled to be shorter or longer than those specified in this call for proposals will not be accepted.
Available budget
The total available budget for the co-financing of the projects is estimated at € 1,200,000 .
The EU grant is limited to a maximum co-financing rate of 80% of total eligible costs.
The appropriations for the following years will be confirmed at a later stage.
It is planned to co-finance about 5 projects (at least one project for each leg).
The maximum amount per individual grant will amount to € 240,000. The Commission reserves the right not to allocate all available financial resources.
